Why should I sign a contract? My computer never breaks, I'll just pay when I need it.
A contract with a steady payment is much easier to account for; Cashflow (or lack of it) is the biggest killer of small businesses. Our contracts also provide you with so much more than just problem solving: the vigilance of a 24/7 network monitoring centre that looks for problems before they become problems. A help desk that is truly there to help. (Ever been shown how to mail merge? No - we can teach you). A personal account manager with BRIGHT ideas that is always keeping an eye on you. It’s the little things that make BRIGHT different.
Do I need a server?
Initially probably not, they are expensive to install and maintain. They do have major benefits in terms of central storage and computer protocols as well as increased security but while cashflow is still a serious consideration this is not a pressing concern.
Do I need to pay for professional licenses?
In a word – Yes. Any serious company should invest in full licences, the benefits of the full package are well worth it. If we're talking Microsoft then Software Assurance alone makes it worthwhile – if you don't know what we mean just phone and ask. This also important when we are talking Antivirus, free versions may be ok on your home PC but given the sensitive nature of your company's information is it worth taking a risk for £30 a year? On top of that we cannot provide support for illegal software – sorry.

This is an expensive option in terms of initial spending and would require regular maintenance. It does provide you with a secure network but is probably something a new business doesn't need to think about.

Email kept online in our secure server. Allows you to have your own company email address with an unlimited size mailbox with spending thousands. With 99.99% uptime this is a solution well worth considering.
Free Online account:
You can use a normal account similar to your personal one. Of course this is free but you need to consider if it looks professional to have mycompany@gmail.com?
